Christmas Meal

Enjoy well-composed dishes inspired by the flavours and aromas of Christmas in a unique setting. Combine with a tour of the mill!

Tumba Bruksmuseum's Christmas table is shines of the highest quality. Choose between two different dining experiences; a well-composed tasting menu or delicious smörrebröd. They are prepared with local ingredients, some of which are grown in the gardens at the Tumba Paper Mill Museum.

We only accept pre-booked groups. Are you a larger group, association, company, or organization? It's possible to book a private venue.

Do you want to come without your job or organisation? On Sunday, December 10th, we have seatings at 16, 17 and 18. Perfect for connecting with family or friends before the holidays!

Alternative 1 - Christmas menu

Welcome to the paper workshop, where we offer a bubbly red currant sangria and tasty croustades as we tell you the history of how banknote paper was made at the mill. Afterwards, in the Oxhouse (the main building of the museum), enjoy a well-composed tasting menu with elements of home-grown ingredients and Swedish flavors.

Menu

  • Kir Royale Nosecco and croustade with rotabaga and pumpkin cream, roasted pumpkin seeds and shiso cress
  • Egg custard flavored with browned butter, red wine-infused beluga and sage-pickled squash
  • Vegan "raw beef" of red cabbage with beetroot salad and root vegetable crisps
  • Saffron risotto with tomato chutney, topped with kale chips
  • Farmer's cheese with pear- and vanilla marmelade (made from fruit grown at the mill) and our special homemade bread with fruit and nuts
  • Chocolate mousse with the mill's honey, chocolate cake, coffee-flavoured candy, and chocolate crumble
  • Coffee or tea

Lunch: SEK 755 (excluding VAT, 12 percent)
Dinner: SEK 895 (excluding VAT, 12 percent)
3-course children's menu (up to 12) served upon request: SEK 396 (excluding VAT, 12 percent)

Alternative 2 - Smörrebröd

Three smörrebröd on our homemade bread:

  • Christmas ham, apple compote, mustard and kale. The kale and apples are grown at the mill!
  • Christmas herring on thinly sliced Leksand white potatoes
  • Artichoke, cress and seaweed
  • White chocolate truffles
  • Coffee or tea

Combine with a guided tour!

Learn about the history of the mill, the history of banknotes, and papermaking by hand. If you want to do something creative, hands-on and inspiring, you can choose a tour where you can try making your own paper. It's fun and easy!

About Chef Sanny Lind

Sanny has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, having worked at Gordon Ramsay's Maze, Sheraton Hotel and Villa Talliden. He was a semi-finalist in Swedish champsionship Chef of the Year 2018. Since 2021, Sanny is part of the Brukscaféet at Tumba Paper Mill Museum. His food philosophy can best be described as rustically elegant with good ingredients served with a twinkle in the eye.

    Getting to the museum

    The museum is 25 kilometers south of Stockholm, and you can easily get here by car or public transport.
